Information about our Home Education Tumbling group

Home Education session
Friday 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Join us for our Home Education Group at Steel City! This welcoming and fun-filled session is designed for home-educated children to explore the exciting world of gymnastics and tumbling.

What to expect:

  • Skill Development: Athletes will learn tumbling skills, including rolls, jumps, and basic skills, in a safe and supportive environment. As well as getting a chance to develop skills on bars, beam and vault.

  • Social Interaction: This group offers a fantastic opportunity for children to meet peers, build friendships, and develop teamwork skills.

  • Flexible Learning: Our experienced coaches tailor the session to accommodate various skill levels, ensuring that every child can progress at their own pace.

Who runs sessions?

Our passionate and nurturing staff hold extensive coaching qualifications, enhanced DBS clearance and are skilled in catering to the strengths and needs of every individual, including children with additional needs.

Where are sessions held?


All sessions are held at our venue: The Forge, 1 Wallace Road, Sheffield S3 9SR. We have plenty of parking spaces in our free car park and there is also lots of free on-street parking on the surrounding roads. We have room for pushchairs to be brought inside, there are 2 small steps as you come up to the door but we are on hand to help. We have baby change facilities including wipes. Our bathroom facilities are fully accessible for those with additional mobility needs.


What should my child wear?


Children should wear comfortable clothing they can move freely in, bare feet (socks if required) with long hair tied back and all jewellery removed for safety. We ask that adults remove any outdoor shoes when on our sprung floor to protect the carpeted surface.
