About the event
We are pleased to confirm the following details for our first ever tumbling competition hosted at Steel City Sports.
The competition will take place at Steel City Sports, 1 Wallace Road, Sheffield S3 9SR.
We have a free car park and there is lots of free on street parking nearby.
The competition will take place on Sunday 16th April 2023. We will send out individual competition times for gymnasts at least 2 weeks before the competition date, however the competition will be finished by 2pm.
The theme for this competition is “Tumble Back to the 80s!” – bright colours are encouraged…expect glow sticks and lots of fun!
Every participant will be allocated a number shortly after booking entry – please make your own themed number to bring to competition. It can be a picture, collage, model – anything goes! There will be prizes for the most creative numbers!
Please book your competition entry on our website:
£24 per entry – each gymnast will receive a participation certificate and free gift.
Medals for top 3 in each category will be presented alongside some specialty awards.
We are not able to issue refunds for any withdrawals from the competition.
All coaches accompanying gymnasts must hold a relevant, valid coaching qualification and have a current enhanced DBS certificate. Please have a copy (hard or electronic) with you to be checked on entry.
Entry closing date is Friday 24th February. We recommend securing your place early as we will have to cap entries due to venue capacity.
Entry for spectators will be as follows:
· £3 for adults
· £1 for children under 12 and over 65s
We can accept cash, card and contactless payment on the door.
We will endeavour to provide as much seating as possible, however our venue won’t take a huge number of spectators. We will allocate 2 seats per gymnast, with some remaining seating on the floor if we have enough room for additional spectators.
Each gymnast will be required to perform 3 runs:
· A range and conditioning run – performed on sprung floor
· A compulsory run – set run per category, performed on 15m air track
· An optional run – free choice within requirements per category, performed on 15m air track
